Gabi was loving me up the morning before her first day of preschool. She had woken up way too early, so by the time Preschool was starting, she was ready for a nap and wouldn't take any good pics! Hey...I'll take all the loving I can get. When we went to meet her teacher a couple of days before, she said, "Mom, can you just drop me off and go get lunch with Dad or something?" No love on Tuesday, but lots of love on Thursday when it was drop off time!

Papi and Grandma came to watch the girls while K.C. and I had our meeting. We took them to our favorite breakfast place, Egg Plantation and the girls basically ate all of Papi's strawberry french toast! Thanks for sharing!

Big Girl Gabi hydrating at school. This girl was walking around like she owned the school with her water bottle in one hand and her sunglasses in the other. Feeling good! She is such a happy little girl!

How cute are these two? They are just the best of friends...where there is one, there is the other!

We took the girls to Santa Monica to the LA Temple. We picked up dinner and were able to go through the new visitor's center. It is unbelieveable! They have a whole area for the kids and tons of interactive learning tools about the Temple, Service that the Church provides all over the World and quotes surrounding the whole place from Prophets. They also have The Christus set up right in front of huge open windows so its the first thing you see pulling up. Talk about a place to feel the Spirit! The girls just loved it. We walked all around the temple grounds singing songs and looking at all the beautiful details all around the Temple. I'm so thankful we live close enough to a Temple to go and do these types of things!

Our lives are so busy but when we snuggle up at night as a family before bed...we feel so grateful for all we have been blessed with....A Healthy Family!

Olivia goes to KINDERGARTEN!

Today was my little Angel's first day of kindergarten. I was a little nervous considering Liv prefers to wake up around 9 and she had to be in her classroom at 7:50! We don't even pick her up until 1:45...long day for a little girl!

It was seriously the cutest thing to see her get dressed, put on this huge backpack that is almost as big as her, make her a lunch with her favorite things and see her basically ignore K.C. and I while we were in her classroom. She is already claiming her independence at age 4! She had such a fun time and we love her teacher, Mrs. Bague.

Start with a healthy breakfast...BRAIN POWER!

We had to get all angles of her new backpack...that thing is HUGE! Seriously, why would a kindergarten student need a bookbag that big?? But, I'm just following instructions:)

Gabi was sad to see her Sister leave her, but we took her to a special breakfast to make up for it. She couldn't even come with us to drop her off, but she came to pick Liv up. She was so cute looking for Olivia everywhere! So sweet!

The walk to school is up a huge hill...hey, a little extra exercise is good for us! From now on, we have to just drop her off in front of the gate...we can't take her to her classroom...Crazy how times have changed!!

Liv in her classroom...23 KIDS, 1 TEACHER! WOW...we will be volunteering A LOT!

We had just come back to the classroom after an orientation. We had to stand on the line! The teacher asked us if the orientation was fun and K.C. blurts out, "No, not at all!" I mean, really? I wanted to crawl under a rock and hide. I told him he wasn't allowed to stand by me anymore:) All the parents laughed and when the teacher went back in the classroom, they all agreed, it was NOT fun! Count on K.C. to say what everyone is thinking...Oh My!

We did get a little wave as Liv walked out of class to go play. Other than that, she was trying to shy away from us...just being a big girl, doing her thing at school. When we picked her up, we asked her what she learned and she said, "RECESS!" LOVE IT! Can't wait to hear about all the fun things she will learn this year:)

Farewell Uncle Cam!

Sorry for the massive amount of pics...but we had a little farewell of our own for Camron before he leaves on his mission. It is hard to believe that Gabi will be 4 and Liv will be 6 when Cam gets home from Orlando. We are so proud of him for dedicating the next two years to share the Gospel. It is a blessing to us all and we want everyone to know about our Savior! The girls just adore him and will miss him so very much! Thanks for coming out! We love you!

We are so happy Jared, Nicole and Graham could all come out. It was so fun to be together...if only we were neighbors! Hey...more of a possibility now more than ever! We miss you all!

Gabi's turn...

Oh my little Gabi. She is just a bundle of love. This girl is growing up so fast...much due to having an older sister as her best friend. Gabi is so excited to start preschool. When we drop Olivia off, she will hear the songs they are seeing and say, "Mom, I know that song...I'm ready for preschool. When can I start?"

Gabi loves to play with Olivia, but she also loves doing her own thing. She will go in her room and play for hours. She has the best imagination. I hear her telling her babies all kinds of stories and she makes us all types of games to entertain herself. I think she likes everything being on her terms...she tries that with Olivia and it doesn't work all the time, but when she plays by herself...she is always the boss!

Let me give you an example of Gab...just tonight at dinner, Gabi started singing, "I'm a bad girl but its okay"...that just about sums it up. I will say, "Gabi, stop doing that" and she will continue to do what I asked her not to do and say, "Mom, I'm not doing anything." Then, when I go to put her in time out she will say, "Okay Mom, I'll go but just for a minute okay?" or "just one time okay Mom" Again, she likes things on her own terms. Lately, she does this thing where she mouths what she is saying to try to get out of things...I will say, "Gabi stop playing with the water" and she will tilt her head and squint her eyes and start mouthing something...just another compromise in the works I'm sure:)

We call Gabi "DIVA" or "DM" because she is either in Diva mode or trying to operate as a manager telling everyone what to do. We tried to get her to play soccer and after about 5 minutes she is asking for her sunglasses and a snack. The girl can dribble like no other...we just have to work on the rest! Funny though, because you have to basically bribe this girl to get on anything other than her jammies and her stilletto flip flops. She likes to be comfy...but she rocks the shoes...I get that!

Every morning she comes into my bed and says, "Mom, can I come snuggle with you for a little bit?" Who can say no to that?! She always has to have her love and kiss goodnight. Gabi is a little ham and adds lots of spice to our life. We just adore her!

Olivia is growing up!

I have been the worst Mom! The girls are growing up so fast and I have to do a better job documenting all the things they say and do...some things you never want to forget!

Olivia: My Liv seriously acts like an adult. She is starting to realize how much of an example she is to Gabi. She really takes on more of a "mother" role unless she just wants a partner in crime! I am so happy she gets to be a "big sister" because from the looks of it, Gabi is gonna need one!

Something has clicked for Olivia in sports. All of a sudden she is dominating in soccer, taking people on, playing defense, passing the ball, getting open and being aggressive. I was a little worried at first because she didn't seem to have that "fire" when she was playing sports because she didn't want to hurt anyone or be mean. Now, she has figured out how to be competitive and sweet! K.C. has been playing baseball with her and its unbelievable the improvement in just a few times. She is catching, throwing and hitting the ball like a rockstar! She is still moving up the ranks in Karate and I honestly cannot say enough good things about incorporating that into her life. It has done wonders for her shyness, confidence and ability to be a leader.

I love the fact that Olivia is so sporty yet she can come home and go straight to diva princess. This girl can DANCE! She has all the words memorized to her favorite songs including the entire Squeakquel soundtrack. She is working on her dance moves copying the Chipettes...it is hilarious. She will put on sunglasses and strut her stuff all over the house.

Her desire to learn and understand things is so exciting to me. The questions never end and she is like a little sponge just memorizing it all. Her preschool teacher is very impressed with her and says she is ready for Kindergarten. It is hard to believe she will be starting full time school in the fall. She is ready for it...its just K.C., Gabi and I that are gonna cry! She loves to tell everybody about Jesus and helps out all the time. She really does try to make the right choices...she is an example to us all.

This girl is growing like a weed...she can eat like an adult...and she does! She is my healthy girl. All her pants are getting too short. Time to roll them up!! We love our Livvy girl...you are my Angel!

Carolina Alumni Weekend 2010

We had our Alumni game for USC last weekend. My sweet husband let me take a long weekend and head to Columbia with all my friends from college. We had so much fun! You know we still found a spot to go dancing...we call it Jungle Jims for people too old for 5 points...US! So sad...I guess this is when 30 starts to feel real old!

We had the game and then a fabulous reception at the hotel. Thanks to Jamie and Shelley for making it all happen...we loved catching up with y'all and everyone!

My great friend and former roomate met up with us after the game...poor thing, we didn't even have time to shower...but it was so great seeing her and her little boy. We played club soccer together in high school then a year of college together...but we lived together all through college...I miss you, Katie!

So, they split the teams us as follows: Old Alumni, Young Alumni, Coaches and the current team....WE WERE THE OLD ALUMNI....HUH?? When did I become old...yet another reminder that when you go back to college....30 is old!

I even got to see my cousins and Brooke's sweet little boy, Frankie. He was the cutest little thing! We have got to hang out when I come back to SC in July.

It was nice to hang with all my girls, but I was READY to be with my girls and my sweet husband. A little time away goes a long way...there is NO better place than HOME with your family!

Karate Demo

Liv was asked to do a demo for her Karate studio at a local community event. It was cute seeing her get so excited to be a part of it. Her best buddy, Marcus, was there. This has been the best thing we have done for her! We are so excited to have Gabi start in September when she turns 3. We may make it a family thing if I can talk K.C. into getting his black belt with me:) I've still got some time to work on that one:)

Granny is BACK!

My sweet Mom came to CA for a visit...LOVE IT! We had the best time...OF COURSE! When we get together...A LOT gets accomplished! I was so excited to show her the flooring I had picked out for my house and we played, ate, exercised, ate some more, and shopped till we dropped!

I took my mother who is in her 60s on a 7 mile bike ride:) I mean, whis woman doesn't even work out that much yet she managed to bike 7 miles with us! I was on rollerblades pushing the girls with Charlotte and my Mom biked. We managed to fit in shopping and eating lunch while we were out...hey...eat it then burn it off! We had a blast except Char and I got burnt up...it was a beautiful day:) I'll take it!

Well...when Granny is in town...we just have FUN! The girls had about 20 easter egg hunts...as Olivia puts it..."We are just making sure we get lots of practice for Easter." Its amazing how such small things provide such entertainment!

Thanks, Sonny for the cute bunnies! The girls love them!

I need to do a blog with the title, "Beckyisms.." because my Mom has the most hilarious little sayings...KC gives her such a hard time...it keeps us laughing. The girls managed to pick up lots of these including: "oopsy-daisy","Oh, Mercy!", "Mash it Gabi!",

Among other "Beckyisms"...according to KC, everything has to be compared to something..."Sick as a dog", "Dirty as a pig", "strong as a mule"...HILARIOUS! K.C. mad sure to get her a "round" hamburger because he knows better than to pull thru Wendy's and get a square hamburger...in her book...that is just WRONG!

There were times she was telling the girls to do something and they had no idea what to do..."Gabi, mash it...mash it harder..." Gabi was looking at her like she was totally confused. There are so many but I can't remember them right now.

We had so much fun with you MAMA! Please come again soon! We miss you already!

Liv the Karate Master!

Olivia had her testing a few weeks ago and she was selected to do the form alone in front of the entire testing group. She did it amazingly all by memory which is a huge deal especially for a 4 year old. So, they brought her to the front to "observe" the others doing their form. I think she enjoyed it!

My little YELLOW BELT! Karate has been one of the best things we have done! Discipline, Confidence, Exercise, Manners...LOVE IT!

Liv will say to me..."Mom, I need to exercise...I haven't worked out today!" Oh boy...they definitely pay attention to what we do! I have a little workout buddy already...she corrects my kickboxing moves...she is a YELLOW BELT! HELLO!

Gabi update

This girl is so funny. She is extremely animated in her conversations and her facial expressions are spot on and very dramatic!! So, today she had her cell phone and was pretending to talk to Granny and Grandma and telling them to hurry up and she said, "Vamanos!" I guess all that Dora the Explorer is really paying off!

All Gabi wants to do is play Mommy and Baby. That is pretty much what she and Olivia do all day! They told K.C. and I we can be the Grandma and Grandfather...I told her I wasn't ready for that yet, so could I be the Aunt? She said, "No, you are de Grandma and I'm the baby. I'm hungry can I get a snack Grandma?" WOW! Fine!

Today, Gabi was copying Olivia...Liv said, "STOP!" and Gab said, "STOP...breakdance" and started dancing all around. Where in the heck did that come from? It was hilarious!

Gabi refuses to say prayers. Olivia tries to help her and she folds her arms, looks up to the sky with pouty lips and says, "No! I not gonna do it I told you." Wow, how many stubborn people can live in one household??

At Church, she loves to find her nursery teachers...when she sees them, she keeps saying, "there is my teacher!" in the middle of sacrament and finally goes and sits with them. Thank you so much to our sweet ladies in nursery! No more goldfish, though:)

Our first "pet"

So, last Sunday we pick up Gabi from nursery and low and behold she has a fish in a huge bag of water. "Mommy look I got a fishy and fishy food!" K.C. had not walked out of class yet and you can imagine his reaction to find out the Moultrie's have their very first pet!

Liv becomes estatic to find out we have a fish and they are fighting over holding it in the car. Then, we get home and get out a bowl with rocks and put the fish inside. Liv walks up to K.C. and says, "Dad, you said all pets were messy but now you REALIZE they are not all messy!" CALLED OUT!

So, the week goes by and we hit up Pet Smart to figure out what I need to do to keep this fish alive. The guy tells me the only way for the fish to survive is to buy a huge aquarium. UH, NO!! So, I tell him that is not going to happen and he lets us bring in the fish. Liv was crushed until K.C. explained we were like Diego and The Wonder Pets, saving the goldfish and taking him back to friends. A movie from the video store helped, too!

Our first pet lasted only a week, but at least we perserved his life and improved the quality by about 100%!! Bye, bye Coral!

Graham, Jared & Nicole come to visit!

We loved having K.C.'s brother, his wife and little baby Graham at our home! The girls were obsessed having little Graham around. Liv tried to mother him the whole time and Gabi was constantly less than an inch from his face. It was pretty cute seeing them with their little cousin. He is such a sweet little boy. We had fun shopping, making dinner and of course playing Mario with all 4 of us. Nic and I hit up Cardio Barre and just chat, chat, chat. Wish you all lived next door! We miss you and love you so much. We're up next to head out to Cheyenne!! Can't wait!

Valentines!

K.C. surprised me with a night out...dinner, babysitter, shopping and a new Michael Kors watch...LOVE IT!

We bought the girls these dresses for Valentines...I mean, you know I had to go "Southern Style" with the bow that is as big as their head...They are so adorable. Liv was teaching Gabi how to pose and hold her dress out...I mean, where did she get that from?? Happy Valentine's Day!!

Sisters in town!

Kathy (K.C.'s Aunt)and Connie (K.C.'s Mom) came to watch the girls while we went to a meeting. Then we had the weekend to hang out and celebrate Connie's birthday. We went to dinner and spent every night up talking until at least 1am! It was so fun...lots of laughing...as always with these two! Thank you so much!! We love you!

A night of family fun...bowling and BJ's for dinner:) This was from January but I have been a total slacker on this blog...my life is filled with work, kids, work, church, and family visitors...no time for posting pictures! I'm having too much fun:)

The girls are getting so big! Gabi talks like she is 4. She copies everything Olivia does and is down to do whatever...she is pretty laid back and easy going...but she will hold her ground every now and then when she means it! She just sings, and sings and sings. The latest rave at our house is the soundtrack from "The Squeakquel" with Alvin and the Chipmunks. The girls dance and sing through the whole CD and I must recommend it because its all popular songs "Chipmunk style."

The favorite is "All the Single Ladies"....oh yes, this is requested each time we get in the car. It is hilarious watching them act out this song.

We also have formed a rock band at the Moultrie home, only Dad and I are only allowed to be groupies. Liv is the lead singer and plays guitar and Gab holds down the drums and follows the dance moves. I wish I knew how to post the videos of them rocking but I'm just not that capable. I'm lucky to post anything people!

Thanksgiving FUN!

Granny came from SC to visit us all in CALI!! We love when Granny comes...it means lots of play time, lots of love, lots of good food, decorating and of course, shopping! Cali has a few more stores than Georgetown and Mom took advantage of that...it got me in trouble, too:)

We had so much fun decorating for Christmas and moving my whole house around. K.C. left for about 2 hours, came back and we had the whole house rearranged. My Mom and I were literally carry couches and chairs and tables up and down my stairs...what other Grandma is hauling furniture up and down stairs? I asked my Mom what in the heck I was gonna do when she couldn't do that anymore?? Wait, she shouldn't be doing it now, but she is stronger than I am...she can handle it!!

K.C. and the girls made a craft... Thanksgiving turkeys on Thanksgiving morning. We had so much fun. Thanksgiving dinner was full of NO traditional food!

We had Southern pulled pork BBQ, stone ground grits and jalapeno cheddar cornbread! YUMMY! Thanks Momma for a wonderful meal!!

My Mom took the girls to Build a Bear for Christmas. They have been begging to go there for the last year, so now Gabi was old enough to enjoy it and they did! Their favorite parts were putting in the heart and of course picking the outfits...Liv has passed her love for fashion on to Gabi. Thank you Granny for all the fabulous gifts!!

My Mom and I took Olivia to the Tree Festival. She was entrawled by the dancers and singers who performed. Amongst all the fun crafts and activities for the kids, all she wanted to do was sit and watch the dancers and especially the girls singing. Good thing because she just got asked to do a solo for the Christmas party at Church! She is so excited and I'm feeling a little stressed! 2 weeks to memorize an entire verse!!

GABI

Gabi has been saying the most hilarious things...there are already so many I have forgotten, so I just have to write some of them down so we don't forget them all!!

Her lastest thing is calling K.C. her "baby." All day her sentences go something like this..."Momma, where did my baby go? Baby? Baby?? Where are you? Oh, there is my baaaby! Come here baby. Daddy my baaaaby." HILARIOUS!

Olivia has been sick, so Gabi came up to her today and said, "Sister, I so sorry you sick. I love you so much. What you need sister?"

In the car this morning we were saying a prayer before we left. Olivia wanted to say the prayer and when she was done, Gabi yells, "Sister, you not bless me or you. Do it again!"

OLIVIA

Olivia is just like a little Mommy to Gabi. We have been trying to get Gabi potty trained and Olivia is such a big helper. "Gabi, you can't go potty in your panties, you have to just hold it till you get to the potty like I do. I know you can do it Gabi...I am just so proud of you! Great job, Gabi!"

Gabi went through a stretch of not wanting to take a nap. Olivia said, "Mom, just let me handle it, I'll go lay with her and put her down for her nap." She would then take Gabi up to her room, lay her in bed and lay beside her for about 5 minutes, get up, put the blanket on Gabi and kiss her goodnight and close her door on the way out. One day Liv went up and read Gabi 2 books, and left the room to come eat her lunch. Gabi just kept calling for her, so Olivia looks up at me and kinda rolls her eyes, smiles and says, "I guess I better go back up there. Gabi must need me. That little stinker!" Then she giggles and runs up to read Gabi "one more book."

The other day she came up to me and asked me why her 2 friends from school don't go to Church. I said, "How do you know they don't go to Church, they may go to another church." She said, "Well, I will have to ask them because they have to know about Jesus." SO SWEET! My little missionary!

My sweet friend Breklyn traveled from Utah with her 2 boys ALONE to come visit and we took the kids to Ventura Beach where their shoes got stolen by a BUM! I mean, what?? Well, they were devastated! Olivia said, "Mom, why would someone steal our shoes?" Me.."Well, honey, I don't know. It isn't a nice thing to do. Some people don't have anything or any money so they must have needed them more than us." She said, "Mom, if they don't have any money, why don't they get a job and stop stealing?" And there is a perfect explanation from a 4 year old. I LOVE THIS CHILD! Maybe she should go into politics!

Primary Program

Olivia is in the Sunbeam class at church with 4 year olds. The whole Primary class did a performance during Church on Sunday and Olivia had a huge part! She had to memorize 3 long sentences and say them in front of the entire church at the podium! She did fantastic! Not only that, she sang so loud every word to every song! It was hilarious...people would get up to do their solo's or duo's and she just sang right with them...as loud as she could! I was dying! The chorister came up after and said, "I had no idea she had so much courage...she is getting a solo next year...I wish I had known to give her one this year!"

Halloween Pics...FINALLY!

This is halloween night...we went around the neighborhood with our friends across the street and then off to meet a family from the Ward to hit another special "Halloween Street" and the girls had a BLAST!

Gabi was all into the decorations and kept saying, "I not like that witch, Mommy, she mean." "Mommy, why can't we go upstairs and see that white ghost?" OVER AND OVER AND OVER! Then Olivia would give her the practical side, "Gabi, that witch is just a decoration, its not real." "Gabi, its not a real ghost, its pretend. We can't just go in other people's houses and get it dirty and they are strangers." Lookin' out for her little sis!

We had our Ward Halloween Party at church and it was so fun. They had a spook alley and a carnival plus a fun presentation! YAH! We all dressed up and had a good time. Charlotte came with us, too! Liv was a beautiful Jasmine and Gabi was a fairy ballet princess!

Liv also had a Halloween Parade at school...so fun! We found Gabi in the library room chilling on a blow up couch reading some books. That girl is just funny!

Olivia moves to an ORANGE belt!!

This is Olivia's karate group. She did so well, they skipped 4 belts and moved her to a new solid! ORANGE BELT! Now she will be in a new class with the bigger kids. She is so excited!

Our post testing tradition...Liv's favorite spot, CHILI's! She actually ordered an adult meal...Buffalo Chicken Bite Sandwiches...hmmmm...can we call her K.C. JR?? This girl is 4 and already eating buffalo sauce dipped in ranch with her favorite spot being Chili's!

Great work Olivia! You broke that board!! NICE WORK! We are so proud of you:)

Disneyland!

Snow White movie came out so of course we bought it and the girls dressed "appropriately" according to Olivia to watch it!

This was Gabi's first experience "understanding" Disneyland. She had so much fun. They had a huge parade while we were there and we were in the front so she went out and danced with all the performers and the Disney characters...Olivia was too timid to go out but Gabi was all in the mix...dancing it up!

Of course we had to go see all the "princessessess" as they call them! We had to wait in line FOREVER, but the girls stuck it out and we got to see 3 different princesses than last year. Olivia was super excited to see her most recent favorite, Aurora! YAH! This was their first time ever seeing Mulan, so now she is begging for that dress-up! oh boy!

Triathalon COMPLETED!!

I can't believe I actually did a Triathalon!! WHAT! I don't know how to swim!! This was so much fun to train for compared to other things...so I enjoyed that, but the acutal swimming part of this thing...NO ONE could prepare themselves for that...it was like a wrestling match in a washing machine with a load WAY TOO BIG!

Literally, I thought I was going to drown...all the training went out the window and I went into survival mode!! Thank the good Lord for the biking and swimming so I could get into a comfort zone! It was really fun though and definitely made me break out of my comfort zone and try something new. Plus, it was for breast cancer so that always makes it worth it! Thanks Mique and Kim...they were my insane partners who talked me into this thing!

Also, I came home to a massage gift certificate from my sweet husband...I'm so sore and will be using that bad boy this week!! yah!!

Olivia turned 4 officially today! Feels like an ongoing 2 week birthday which works great for the girls...they love it! We saved Liv's bike to give her this morning and she has been so happy all day long!

Her teacher made her a special crown to wear at school and I brought in gogurts for the class (they don't allow junk food at this school! HILARIOUS!) and everyone was happy!

Gabi was so happy for Olivia that it was her b-day. We asked her if she wanted to listen to her b-day song my mom had sent and she said, "No, its Livvy's b-day, not Gabi's. Hear Livvy's special day song." SO SWEET! Don't you just want to kiss this face?!

We took her to her favorite restaurant for lunch...CHILI'S! Then we spend the day riding bikes and hanging out together.

Olivia's favorite things that we set out for her to wake up to for her b-day...doritos, skittles and balloons!! She was estatic!

She is amazing on this bike. We rode with her about 2 miles and up some seriously steep hills and she totally did it by herself. She would get so mad if KC tried to help...she would say, "Dad, stop, I can do it myself. I just have to use my muscles, Dad."

Tonight, she said, "Mom, I want the training wheels off my bike in the morning...I want to learn how to do it without them." Then, she was trying to turn her bike around and I ran down to help her but she told me to stop "Mom, I can figure it out myself. I'll be there in a minute." And she did...my little problem solver!

Vegas Getaway!

We had the biggest party at Scooter's Jungle for the girls party! They had so much fun...we all did! Brett and Connie came in town for the event. Lots of food, kids and sliding, hanggliding and jumping!

Gabi couldn't blow out her candle so she tried to bite it...you can see from her face, that didn't work out so well!! OUCH!

These girls are so much fun...striking a pose and making silly faces! I still can't believe they are growing up so fast...There is just nothing like having your own little family...I love mine so much!!

Liv at Preschool!

Olivia started preschool Thursday. She was so excited to go back to school and Gabi actually wanted to stay and go to a class of her own!

I was asking the teachers about starting Gabi now even though she just turned 2 and the lady said, "Yeah, its a little young." Right after, Gabi walks up and says, "I'm Gabi. Its my special day...I'm 2...ABCDEFG..." and sings the entire alphabet. The teacher turns to me and says, "Nevermind...Congrats Gabi, you can move on to Kindergarten!" It was so funny!

Olivia is going to be with a couple of her old friends from her class last year. She is so excited to start writing letters and numbers. Don't we all wish we still had such a joy and passion for learning like these little ones! I'm so grateful they love it!!

Today my little baby turned 2! And to make it even better...she got her first SHINER last night...yes, a black eye!! This girl is TOUGH!!

She was so cute all day. At Church, she kept going up to people saying, "My birthday. I'm 2!" Then she would start singing the "ABC" song. Big party for her and Liv on Thursday!

KC and I got her the little tricycle and her poor little chubby legs were just a little too short, but she still had fun with us pushing her. Liv was a little sad but she tried really hard to make today special for Gabi. She kept saying, "Gabi can go first since its her birthday."

I made her and Liv one of those picture books from shutterfly...Gabi loved hers...it was cute for her to have a "little" book of herself since she was born. Yeah, I got a little carried away...80 pages later...

My Mom sent her this little Mermaid doll with the cutest CD that has songs all about the sea and it sings to her with her name in it. She was amazed listening to it and hearing them keep singing to her with her name. She said, "Mom, its my special day! AGAIN! AGAIN!" She wouldn't let the Mermaid out of sight...needless to say, Mermaid slept with Gabi tonight!

This girl LOVED her ice cream cake...DUH!! We had a great day...looking forward to the big birthday bash on Thursday for both of them and of course for KC's parents to come Wed night...we all can't wait...fun week ahead!

San Francisco Weekend

San Fran half marathon COMPLETED! It was so amazing...perfect weather, perfect scenery, perfect partner...I'M ADDICTED!!

My running partner bailed, so KC came to the rescue and ran the whole half marathon with me without even training! Good thing I married an ATHLETE! I mean, he woke up with me at 4am and ran in his basketball stuff ...that is LOVE! He was cracking me up the whole time yelling out to the top runners, "I RESPECT YOU..." It was hilarous...but by mile 10, he was wishing he was in some little tiny running shorts, a tank and some different shoes! LOVE YOU HONEY!

We went to see the Redwoods...It was amazing...I thought about my Dad the whole time because he would have loved to be there! Olivia took the role as our tour guide "reading" all the signs to us. The girls had a blast!

We went into another little town called Tiburon and it was gorgeous! We ate out at Sam's which was on the bay and the girls enjoyed all the boats and gelato! Thank you to Marshall and Melinda who housed us and made our trip a blast!! We love you both!

Our weekend has been filled with easter egg hunts...by the time we got to the big one today...these girls were EXPERTS! Plus, today, they got candy...so Olivia took control and split it "appropriately!"

Are these dresses not the sweetest thing? My sister passed them down after her girls wore them in a wedding when they were the same ages. We were all in white today to celebrate Easter. We are so grateful for each other and for our Savior!!

Well, we made our journey across the country to see my family...just Olivia, Gabi and me...oh, fun, fun! 8 hours traveling with 2 children 3 and under! It was all worth it because the girls had a total blast with their cousins.

Gabi learned everyone's names so quickly and all the older cousins took control and basically made my life EASY! The girls just loved them and Olivia and her cousin Emily just kept hugging eachother...it was precious!

Olivia's favorite food is now grits. She asks for it for every meal then Granny taught her to say..."I love grits, I'm just a southern girl!" I'm just happy to find something she will eat!

Okay, okay...who doesn't love 80 degrees and sunny in April? We had fun today taking a long walk in between conference sessions and then laying out and jumping on the tramp with the sprinklers on!

The girls had a blast! I think I may have gotten some sun on this pasty white skin!

Our new name for Olivia is "The Gabi Whisperer." Honestly, she can get Gabi to do anything she wants. For example, Gabi refuses to get dressed....Olivia pulls her aside and has a little talk with her...next thing you know, she is asking to get dressed. HILARIOUS! Hey...you need Gabi to eat her veggies??? Just call in the reinforcements..."OLIVIA....."

...Now if we could only find and "Olivia Whisperer" we'd be all set!

Olivia the Speaker

Well, we have definitely found a new "Olivia Talent" after the last 2 Sundays at church. Last Sunday at church, my neighbor came up and asked if Olivia could give the prayer in Primary apologizing for asking last minute. Well, we said sure, and sure enough, she marched right up to the pulpit in primary and did the prayer all by herself. She blessed all her friends in primary and their families and her cousins and it was LOUD AND CLEAR!

So, this week, she had to give a talk about her family. We had tried to talk to her a little bit about what she could talk about, but she insisted that she could "handle it." So, KC went up with her and sat in the back until it was her turn. The whole time he is trying to make sure she has something relevant to say to the whole primary group. She keeps saying, "Dad, I got this, I got it. I know what I'm going to say." She steps right up to the podium and grabs the microphone to adust...it went something like this...

"The gospel lets us feel the Spirit. My name is Olivia Moultrie and today I'm going to talk about my family. My dad is a manager and he manages people. He loves basketball. My Mom cooks me dinner and I just have to love my Mommy every day! I go to school, play soccer and go to Karate and I'm learning to poop on the potty! I clean my room and help my sister. My sister Gabi, she is such a cutie pie. She can feed herself and she helps me clean up her toys but she still needs my help. Heavenly Father made it so my family can be together all the time! In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

I got the whole thing on video from K.C.'s phone but it messed up! SO SAD! I was crying basically the rest of Church. It is so amazing what these sweet little kids can do and remember! I guess we aren't totally screwing her up!! I had to get this written down so I never forget!

Gabriella...18 months

My sweet little Gabi...this little girl has kept her sweetness...which makes me happy!

She is talking up a storm. She can basically say anything. I love when they are able to tell you what they need or what they are thinking. She pays attention to everything! When we wake up she says, "eat, Mom, moatmeal (for oatmeal), poo poo, Mom." And sure enough, she is poopy and eats her entire bowl of oatmeal.

When she sees Olivia getting dressed in the morning, she says, "Olivia, kool, go!" because she knows Olivia is going to school. Time for Karate..."Olivia, "arate"...time for soccer, "livvy, socka", we pass the gym and she says, "kids club!!" because we always take them to the little child care called Kids Club and she loves it!

She is the most loving little girl. She will just run up to you and say "luv you" and lay her head on your shoulder or lap. Her kisses are the best. She puckers up real big and gives a big ole' smack to kiss.

She loves brushing her teeth and is obsessed with shoes...yes, she got it honestly!Her smile lights up any room and she is always grinnin'!!

But, her favorite thing in the world is her big sister. She follows her around like a little puppy and only wants to do what Olivia is doing. They are so sweet together. I have been waiting for things to be the way they are now, and I'm sure it will only get better. Olivia really looks out for Gabi and is pretty possessive with her. I'm glad they're already such good friends:)

Well, I feel like I need to give y'all an update on Olivia. It is amazing how fast she is growing up! She is playing soccer, still loving Karate and going to school half day twice a week.

She still makes us laugh all the time with her stories...

I locked the keys in the car last week when I took her to Karate. So, on the way to Karate the next time, she said, "Now Mom, no locking the keys in the car this time, Mom. You have to be careful. I don't want to sit outside and wait, okay, Mom."

Our friend who watches the girls has a little boy named Kolton who is just a little younger than Olivia. She was sitting by him and said "Kolton, do you know the difference between good things and bad things? Like, when I clean up my toys after I play with them, well...thats a good thing. And, when I push my sister accidently sometimes, well, that is a bad thing, ya know Kolton?"

Gabi went to nursery at Church for the first time last week. After Church she said, "Hey Gabi girl, did you have a good time in Nursery today? Did you like your teacher?" I told her Gabi had a good time. Olivia asked,"She didn't even cry at all, Mom?" I said, "Only for a few minutes at first." Olivia responded, "Well, thats okay Gabi, that is just what babies do."

We went and bought her a pair of new glasses. At the store, Olivia finds this pair and goes up to the optometrist and says,"Ron, these are literally the cutest pair of glasses I have ever seen. I need a new "restriction" for my glasses so I want these." Ron said, "literally?" Liv said, "Literally." So Ron asked her if she had her credit card to pay for the glasses and Liv said, "No, I'm not big enough for a credit card, but my Mom has one."

Poor Liv has had the worst ear aches and infections. She went to the doctor and said, "Dr. I have and ear confection. I need some medicine to make it better. I don't understand why these ear confections keep coming back and getting worser." Then K.C. gave her a blessing and started praying with her to make it better. So, she has been coming up to us and says with a huge smile, "Heavenly Father blessed my ear confection and made it better. If I need my ear confection better, I just have to pray to Heavenly Father and he will bless it better."

I mean, I think I have come to the conclusion that I can learn the basics of life's lessons from my little 3 year old!!

We had our friends from San Francisco in town for the Superbowl. It was so much fun! The girls just love Marshall and Melinda...you can see Liv just snuggling him up before the game started! We can't wait to go visit them in San Fran!! I still have not been there! Thanks for a fun filled weekend Marshall & Melinda!

Becky and her husband Johnny also came by for a visit from NC! Becky and I went to college together and played soccer together...since my friend Charlotte moved here...we've been getting lots of visitors! We hope to make them CA residents here in the next couple months:)

Lately Gabi has been watching Olivia do everything. Everytime we go to take Olivia somewhere, Gabi knows exactly where she is going..."kool" (school), "socca" (soccer), "katay" (Karate). She wants to be just like her big sis, so now she has been wanting to wear a backpack around. Liv and I finally found one for her to wear. Its a little baby doll bjorn...so cute! She will even carry a baby in it!

Okay, this girl is so funny. Just this morning she said 2 of the funniest things I have ever heard from her...I didn't want to forget them, so I figured I better blog it now!

We were playing up in the loft before Church and she said, " Mom, little sisters are a lot of work. I don't want any more little sisters or brothers because they are just too much work." (as she sighs)

So, we were at Church and the bishop welcomed everyone from the pulpit. Olivia looks at me and says, "Mom, I told you to let me go up there" (she wanted to go up a couple of weeks ago and talk like K.C. and I did when we had to speak in Church.)She continues..."I want to go up front so I can see all the brothers and sisters."

The other day we were getting her ready for school and I asked her if she wanted to bring her jacket and her response was, "Whatever, Mom." Then I ask her if she wants to wear her Mary Jane shoes to school and she says shaking her head and sighing, "Whatever, Mom." I look at her and ask her why she is saying that to me and she says, "Dad says it all the time." Oh...they hear everything!

Ward Christmas Party

Tonight was the Ward Christmas Party for our Church. The girls looked so cute and they have really been cute playing together. Olivia is totally a little Mommy. She grits her teeth and says, "Gabi girl is just so cute, I can't stand it, Give me a love you little cutie pie." Olivia is constantly making Gabi laugh. My Mom got them out on the trampoline playing soccer and they BOTH are obsessed now!

Olivia totally looks out for her sister. Anytime people come over to play, she says, "You have to play soft, my sister is just a little baby." Or if they get on the tramp, she makes everyone stop and let Gabi jump by herself and cheer her on. I LOVE IT!!

Mom's first trip to CALI!!

My Mom came out to visit for 10 days...it was WONDERFUL!! We didn't get to do everything we wanted because there is just way too much to do in this place! These pictures are from Santa Barbara. We had so much fun shopping, eating and showing Mom how California is a little different than any other place...(hence the picture she took of the Scientology center:))

Our other adventure was to Santa Monica Boulevard (where Private Practice is filmed and the spot known for Sheryl Crow's video "All I Wanna Do." Anyway, we had so much fun shopping on 3rd Street Promenade and taking the girls to the beach. My Mom really enjoyed seeing the west coast beaches for the first time. It is amazing to see an entire carnival on the beach...COOL!!

The rest of the time we hung out with the girls and shopped till we dropped. My Mom literally filled up her guest room at my house with new stuff and presents for my family...its just what happens in CA!!

Well...I went through with it! I have been debating chopping off my hair for a while, and I kept chickening out plus, K.C. loves my hair long, so I hated to cut it...but, my Mom came in town and cut hers and I got the boost I needed!!

It feels so weird to have it short but I LOVE IT! It is so much less to deal with getting ready. Anyone who is comtemplating going short...GO FOR IT! IT WILL GROW BACK!! I had to have a new style in CALIFORNIA!!

Olivia's the Karate Kid!

We started Olivia in Taekwondo at this amazing facility right down from our gym. I mean, these people are serious. They have these little kids using swords and num-chucks and stuff...its wild! Anyway, Olivia is the youngest one and she is only doing the non-weapons training. She LOVES it! She asks us everyday if she can go to karate. They even send her home with homework. This week she has been working on Focus. She has to look us in the eye, repeat what we say, and say "Yes Ma'am" or "Yes Sir."

She really has already started listening better and using better manners. Plus, that girl is learning so many athletic moves...its amazing how they challenge a child even as young as 3!! We are happy she loves it and how adorable is her little outfit?? SO CUTE!

Gabi update!

So, about a week ago, Gabi started taking a couple of steps here and there by herself. As of yesterday, she is full on wanting to walk everywhere. She isn't all that great yet, but everytime she falls, she just stands back up and tries again. IT IS SO DANG CUTE! I can't wait for her to walk everywhere! This is a picture Dad took after "styling" her hair after her bath. I was in Chicago...I'm happy the only place she was going is to BED!

Gabi is also starting to say some words pretty clearly..."DaDee", "Tank you", "O-ya ya" and "MaMa" and she nods yes or no when you ask her questions..."Gabi, do you want to go eat breakfast?" She nods yes..."Gabi, do you want to go downstairs?" She shakes her head no. Women just know what they want...ha, ha!! Its amazing how much they understand...I just can't wait for the pointing and grunting turn into ALL words!

Disneyland Baby!

Okay, so we decided at 11am on Friday to go to Disneyland! Lucky for us, we live an hour away:) Gotta love Southern Cali! Olivia was estatic...she sat for the first hour with her mouth and eyes wide open. I never understood why people cried at Disneyland, but seeing Olivia and Gabi there made me tear up at least 5 times!

We got Olivia some Bell gloves...she is obsessed with them and was determined to show them to Bell in the parade. She has a new favorite princess!

We waited in line forever to see the princesses and take pictures. It was TOTALLY worth it! Ariel and Jasmin were there and the girls liked them, but Bell was the first princess we saw and the first words out Olivia's mouth were, "Bell is my favorite princess." Gotta love children's honesty!

Bell was the first princess we saw and I'm telling you, she was the sweetest person! Olivia ran up and just hugged her for about 2 minutes straight!! Olivia talked to her like they were just best friends. I am telling you..the tears were just welling up in my eyes.

There was an arena area where all the princesses came and taught the children how to dance and kurtzie and use manners like they were royalty.

As soon as we walked in, the Christmas Parade started. It was amazing...we happened to show up on the first day of the Christmas celebration!! We found a great spot!

The mean Stepmother and stepsisters...Olivia loved it. She said, "Mom, there they are...we need to teach them to be nice!"

The girls had so much fun and so did we! We rode the horses, danced to all the music, took tours of all the castles and had a total blast! Season passes for Christmas for sure!!

Biking on the beach!

My friend Charlotte who played soccer with me at South Carolina came into town for an interview and visit. We drove down to Redondo Beach, rented bikes and biked to Venice Beach and back. It was SO much fun! The bike ride was gorgeous...you almost forgot you were getting a workout...now that is what I'm talking about!

We got to see the basketball courts where they filmed White Men Can't Jump and needless to say, Venice beach had some very "interesting" people. There are some amazing houses right on the beach. It is funny to see playgrounds right on the beach. I can't wait to take K.C. and the girls!!

Happy Birthday to My Daddy!

Its hard to believe that my Dad has passed away only a couple months ago. Today we celebrate his life. He would be 63 years old today. It is definitely starting to hit that he is gone. I think about him daily and miss him very much. I know he is in a better place, looking down on us. I feel so grateful to have been raised by such a wonderful man. He was so strong and courageous and SO HILARIOUS! Here are some pictures to remember and honor him today!

Trick or Treat?

We had a lot of fun with the girls dressing up for Halloween. We wanted to get them trick or treating a little early so we went to the mall and then K.C. took Olivia around the neighborhood. Gabi was exhausted!

Olivia was Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty and Gabi was a little fairy. Its a dress up my little niece, Emily used to wear. SO CUTE!!

Santa Barbara Trip

We had a lot of fun the last couple of days in Santa Barbara. Its only an hour from our house. We drove down the most beautiful highways, including the 101 driving right along the coastline:) The beach was so much fun. At first Olivia was jumping around going crazy, then she was all worried about being dirty with sand all over her! Gabi loved the water and wanted to go in all the way. Hey, at least she was willing to walk to get over there! Plus, they loved trying to find shells. Okay, I have to say that the west coast is very beautiful, but its beaches have nothing on the east coast. Now, the view with the mountains and the beach in one shot...you've got that on us!

Our first adventure was to go on the pier and see the birds and boats. It was amazing how close the birds would let you get without flying away. The girls thought it was fun and the view was gorgeous!

Gabi is getting her personality...with the example of her sister, Gabi is learning to hold her own! She is so vocal and loves putting things together. She is even sleeping in a big girl bed! It was sad, but we hated to bring the crib out when we really didn't have the room. She is doing great though. I think her favorite thing to do is put together puzzles. She is closer and closer to walking on her own. She definitely has the stairs down pat!

So, I have been searching for preschools. I finally did let her try one out for a day and ended up signing her up at a different school. She starts next week and is so excited! On her trial day, I cried for about an hour after I dropped her off...my little baby! She is growing up so fast!

We have finally participated in some fun Halloween activities, now that we are somewhat settled. Our gym had a Halloween carnival, dinner and trick or treating around the gym. Our neighbor let Olivia borrow her Snow White dress and she insisted on wearing it to the party. She is adorable!

Hey everyone! Well, its official...we moved into our new house in Valencia, CA on Wednesday and are already unpacked except for my room! My life has basically consisted of a few words...BOXES, CHAOS, NO SLEEP, TRAMPOLINE, EATING OUT, NO EXERCISE! But, I must say that I am so happy here! The weather is perfect, I love my new house, my neighbors are great and we loved Church today! I have already found someone to watch Gabi and I'm still deciding on a preschool for Olivia.

We bought Olivia a trampoline and she has spent most of her time here jumping and playing with Gabi in their new playroom. I love the layout of the house...its just perfect for our family. I can see why people pay so much to live in this beautiful place...its paradise!

Just to top it off, I went for a run last night for the first time and right by my house there is miles and miles of running trails that go all different directions that give me the perfect change up so I don't get bored. Its also great for us to all ride bikes or go on walks. For all of you who love In & Out Burger, there is one a down the street from my house. We have already found a favorite restaurant and can't wait for visitors to come so we can take you there!

People have asked for pics of the house, so here are a few of the downstairs. I still have stuff sitting out b/c I'm trying to figure out where I want everything. I'll put more on of the upstairs later. Love you all!

Olivia got so many great presents. Thank you all so much for your gifts! My Mom and Sister found this Dorothy dress and shoes and she literally wears it every single day! K.C.'s parents and his brother, Camron took Olivia on a date to Chili's and then let her pick out a new outfit at Gymboree. She had to wear this outfit which I thought was adorable. She got lots of dress ups since it is her favorite thing to do. Happy Birthday my sweet little angel!

Gabi was such a trooper at the zoo. She didn't get a nap until 3pm! We put Bubble Tape in the Pinyata and the kids loved it! KC eventually had to break it...3 year olds just didn't hit quite hard enough. Olivia used to be scared of the fake elephant who spits out water, but this time, she loved it! We had such a fun time.

Well, this fall has brought many changes to the Moultrie family. First and foremost, K.C. got offered a promotion to District Manager for Takeda Pharmaceuticals in California!! He accepted the position and we are moving to Valencia, CA in the next 2 months. Our house in on the market and we already have an offer down on a house we adore! Valencia is an new, clean and adorable city only about 40 min from LA. We look forward to visitors!!!

Sadly, my father passed away the exact same day we found out about the promotion. My father was an incredible man who fought harder than any person I have ever known. He passed away from Metastatic Colon Cancer. He will always remain an example in my life of strength, honesty, integrity and courage. What more could any person want from their Dad!

Needless to say, this fall brings lots of change. We look forward to our new adventure and I am just so proud of K.C. for his outstanding accomplishments at only 28!! Congrats baby!!

Gabi is growing up way too fast! I cannot believe she is already 1! Poor little girl fell asleep before she got her birthday cake, so we are going to give her one on Olivia's birthday...they're only a week apart.

Gabi is crawling around everywhere and trying to keep up with Olivia. She is pulling herself up but my little chubby girl still can't walk on her own. I'm definitely not complaining...I like the fact that she isn't running around! I want her to stay as baby as possible for as long as possible!

Gabi is such a snuggler and has a smile that will brighten up even the worst day possible! She loves to try to put things together and loves to play in the bath. This sweet little child will eat ANYTHING...literally, but after our trip to SC, this child LOVES GRITS! Oh, a southern girl at heart...I just love it!

Liv got all ready before Dylen, Max and Misty came to visit!

They had so much fun together! We had tea parties and played with LOTS of glitter. Misty and I looked "wonderful" at the end because we too were covered in fairy dust! They dressed up and kept switching princess shoes. The highlight had to be the trips in the Barbie Jeep...I didn't have hands to take pics for that one! I was too busy making sure they didn't crash! Dancing at the VooDoo Lounge at the Rio...yeah, this is about the only dancing KC did the whole night so it was definitely a KODAK moment!!

The top of the Rio shows the whole strip. I have never been here and it was so incredible! The Voodoo Lounge had this amazing band and we saw some very interesting people...it made the night!! Our second night we went to Delmonico's at the Venetian. It was delicious! K.C. and Marshall both left Vegas with new and extremely costly watches!! Happy Birthday boys...well, K.C., this watch may have to last for a few holidays:) Oh, Vegas...spend money and get fat...that should be their motto!!

K.C. bought me a trip to Vegas for Mother's Day. We had so much fun! We met up with our friends Marshall and Melinda and hit the town. This is us getting lunch at Hard Rock Cafe...our hotel was right across the street. Hard Rock has great food especially when you are starving!!

This is Marshall and K.C. in the Casino at the Rio. They have been friends for a while, basically mirroring eachother's career path, but they became best friends while working in the training department. These two men are the biggest metrosexuals I have ever met:)!

This is all of us at possibly the best restaurant I've ever been to, Cafe Mortorano. We ate and ate and ate...it was fabulous!

Gabi is growing up so fast. She just turned 9 months old. It is amazing how time flies! She has 2 bottom teeth and is just starting to crawl around and pull herself up. My kids are always a little slow to move because they have lots of weight to carry around! I have no idea when those little legs of hers will be able to support her body weight to walk around. I don't care though...I love the chunk!

She is a little talker just like Olivia was. She screams DADA, MAMA, BABA and basically just likes to be really loud when she wants some attention. She raises her arms up when you say, "SO BIG!" and she is just starting to clap some. She is always shaking her head back and forth like she is dancing...its pretty cute!

While we were in SC, I would show her pictures of Olivia and she would start going crazy. You should have seen the two of them when they saw eachother at the airport. They were both so excited! I hope they will be the best of friends!!

Well, Olivia continues to crack up K.C.and I. This girl comes up with some amazing stuff for a 2 year old!

Best one yet...K.C. asked Olivia the other day if she wanted to be like Mommy or Daddy. She paused for a second, looked at him and said, "I just want to be Olivia." WHOOHOO...I couldn't ask for a better answer! Go Olivia!

I came home from work the other day and she was on her "cell phone." I was trying to talk to her and she said, "Mom, you have to be quiet, okay, I'm on a conference call." I said, "Oh, sorry, just let me know when its over." Then she said in her phone, "Okay, sorry, what were you saying?"

K.C. and I took her to get her nails painted again. She walked right in with her purse on her shoulder and said, "I was wondering if you could paint my nails. I want them painted this color right here." The lady said, sure, when I'm done, I'll paint your nails. She sat there patiently and then said, "Just let me know when its my turn, okay." So the lady comes up and tells her it is her turn. She gets right up without saying anything to us, walks over to the table, gets in the chair, puts her little hands up on the pad, crosses her ankles and says, "So, what is your name?" The lady tells her and then she says, "My name is Olivia Lynn Moultrie. I really like your nails. Thank you for painting mine." This child is making conversation with a total stranger at 2!! HILARIOUS!

She is the best little helper. She helps me feed Gabi, she can get Gabi to stop crying, she loves to help me clean and she even wants to "workout with me." She is very encouraging. She will say, "Good job, Mom! I'm so proud of you!" and "Wow Mom, I like that outfit. You look pretty. Can I put on an outfit just like you?"

She is our little angel and we adore her!!

BACK HOME!!

Finally home, together with my family! It was nice being in SC and in Cali for my work meeting, but it is so nice being back with my sweet husband and my darling little girls. I felt so bad not being with KC on Father's Day, but he managed to find a way to get rid of the blues....RETAIL THERAPY! If any of you know my husband, the man loves to shop. And not just anywhere...he is high dollar! So, he hit up the Nordstrom Men's half yearly sale. He is better at justifing a purchase that any woman I know...so ladies...if you need someone to shop with...CALL KC!

We had a nice lunch today at one of my favorite places, Porcupine Grill. We took the girls swimming and have basically just been hanging out together. I do want to say that KC is such a great Dad. The girls adore him! Anytime Gabi hears his voice across the phone, she starts screaming DADA, DADA...and tries to get the phone from me. Then she just starts kissing it over and over again.

Olivia...well, she has been a Daddy's girl as long as I can remember. She always wants them to dress like "twinners", so here is a pic of them both decked out in black and white Nike stuff. I am so blessed to be married to an amazing Father and husband!

Gabi and I flew to SC for a long weekend to surprise my Dad for Father's Day. It was so much fun! He was definitely shocked to see us! I had my Mom pick us up at the airport then I just went to the front door and knocked. The look on his face was PRICELESS! We had such a good time together...good quality time. I am so happy I got to be with him and my family on such a special day.

My Dad has always been a great mentor for me and given me the most vaulable skill set to make life successful and fun! I hope he had a Happy Father's Day!!

We took the girls swimming today. They had so much fun...Olivia is wild...and is a little fish. I want to get her swimming lessons. Gabi really liked it, too. My favorite was putting the little bathingsuit on her...she is so dang chubby!! LOVE IT!

It was such a nice weekend and we were outside enjoying the sun. Gabi was just loving her Daddy. She will only say "Da Da." That will melt Daddy's heart in a skinny minute!

Liv loves to help K.C. mow the lawn. It is adorable...she either holds on to the bag or gets her own lawn mower. This girl loves her Daddy!

I took Liv to the park and she climbed to the top of this fence...AHHHH!!

Liv just grits her teeth at Gabi because she loves her so much! I think it may scare little Gab, but no one maks her laugh like Olivia. Every day, Olivia climbs up in her crib and they play for about 20 minutes. She is great at helping me take care of her little sister!

Grandma Connie loves to snuggle with me!!

You have to embrace every minute of snuggle time with Livvy because she is so busy. I just love when she slows down and wants to love. Every night before she goes to bed she has to have a kiss "on the lips" and "a love." It is so sweet! She said this weekend to Papi, "Mom is my angel. I love my Mom." I will remember that always!!

So our little Olivia got tagged by her friend Dylen, so here are 10 favorite things about our little angel.

1. She LOVES to have you tell her stories. She will lay on her stomach or sit down with both hands on her chin just anxious to listen. AND, if you get the story wrong, she will correct you...she knows them all inside and out. Her lastest favorite is Goldilocks and the 3 bears:)

2. All of a sudden, she has become obsessed with dressing up. My mom and sister gave her some dress up outfits with the shoes, tights, jewelry and all and she keeps it all in one of her drawers. AT LEAST 3-4 times a day, she asks me if she can put on her "BEAUTY-FUL" dress or her "BEAUTY-FUL" tank top, skirt and cape. I mean, this child begs me to let her put this stuff over her PJs. Then after she is all decked out she models it and tells me she looks "BEAUTY-FUL." Yes, I hear this word at least 10 times a day! SO CUTE!

3. She loves to ask the question, "WHY??" I mean, I can give some pretty good explanations of things and K.C., well, he can explain things so much that no one could ask "WHY," but Olivia finds a way to want to know more. She wants to understand it all. You know you're a success when she finally says, "Oh, Okay. Thanks, Mom."

4. Have you ever seen the movie "The Negotiator?" Well, honey, if they knew Olivia, they would have asked her to play the leading role. I have never seen someone who can negotiate for what they want as well as she can. I mean, by the end of our conversation, I am EXHAUSTED! SHE HAS WORN ME DOWN!! Not an easy task!

5. She loves playing "hoops" with her Daddio at the gym. Every time we go together, she has to play basketball with K.C. before we can leave. It is so sweet!

6. Olivia is such a sweet big sister. Every time Gabi wakes up, she runs up to me and says, "Mom, Gabi girl is awake, lets go get her!" Then she runs up to her bed, climbs up the side of the crib and starts talking in her little sweet baby voice, "Hey little Gabi girl, are you a happy girl? Are you awake? Did you sleep good sweet girl?" Gabi just lights up...she loves her Big Sister! Olivia always says, "Mom, Gabi girl just loves me. I always make her laugh." She sure does!

7. One of my favorite things that Olivia does is anytime we are all doing something together as a family whether it is cleaning, in the car driving somewhere, eating, at the park...anywhere, she says, "All the family is together. We love eachother." I'm glad she knows that!

8. I love to hear Olivia's sweet little prayers. Every night and morning she kneels down beside me and says the sweetest little prayers thanking Heavenly Father for all her family and blessing her dad, sister and grandparents. I hope she does that forever!

9. Olivia loves to help me clean and I appreciate it! She will go get a dusting wipe or a clorox cleaning wipe and clean away while I'm doing the same thing. I mean, it is really helpful! I hope this habit will transfer into her teenage years as well!!

10. One of Olivia's favorite things to do is to go on dates with her Dad or with the whole family. Ever since K.C. took her on a date night, she thinks every time we go to Chili's, we're on a date. It is so sweet.

We love this little girl so much! Even though she is a spit fire, I wouldn't have it any other way. She adds lots of spice and sweetness to our lives!!

We took a stroll on the boardwalk by my parent's house in Historic Georgetown. It was such a nice day with a great breeze. Olivia loves to go and see the boats and sometimes you can even see an alligator. Gabi girl fell fast asleep on the way there. We were walking back to my parents and a rain storm came. That woke her up! It was pretty eventful to see us trucking it home in the rain with the girls! So fun!!

Olivia got seriously hooked up today at our Easter Egg Hunt. Grandma went a little overboard which made it so fun for Olivia to find all her eggs and her basket full of presents. We hid everything out in their back yard and she was having a ball filling up her basket and then dumping it in the middle of the lawn before she loaded up again! She saw the Easter basket, ran over and shouted, "Look, I got a present!" You should of seen us packing up the car to drive home...RIDICULOUS! We had so much fun!!

We went up to Park City the other night. At the outlets they have a new Gap just for kids and infants. It just opened and it is full of awesome stuff at great deals! We went in to check it out and I found a cute dress in Olivia's size. I have to take her with me now to buy clothes because she is SO particular about what she wears. I showed her the dress and then walked away looking at other stuff. I turned around not even 2 MINUTES later and she had stripped off all her clothes and had put the dress on...tags and all! Then she walked up to me and put her foot out and said, "Mom, I love this dress. Take the tags off, lets buy it!" Uh...what will I do when she is 16? HELP!! I got this little dress from an awesome boutique in Sugarhouse called 4 and 20 Sailors...STAY AWAY...its way too cute and pricey!!

I took Gabi in for her 6 month check up. She is 95th percentile for weight, weighing in at 18 1/2 lbs! She was 75th percentile for length and 90th for her head size. Poor baby had to get 5 shots and she was so good! The doctor still had no tips for me on how to get her to take a bottle and she won't eat food either!! I've got my work cut out for me with this one. I guess she wants to stick with the straight cream she gets from me!

What you were doing 10 years ago?
Well, that would put me at age 18. So, I was in my senior year of high school about to graduate and go off to college. I was working with my Mom at her business as a "work study" where I got school credit and basically got to come home by 1 everyday. I definitely wasn't doing any work! I was in my final season of High School soccer about to hit a hard reality in the world of college athletics. I was definitely having more fun than I'll admit to and about to go to Senior Week in Myrtle Beach....those were some fun times!!

5 things on my to do list today (only 5?)

1. Workout ( a necessity..missing my workout partner!!)
2. Work (Crazy this may not last much longer...I think I'll miss it!)
3. Drive to Park City to take back stuff and hit all the good kids stores
4. Clean up after my 2 wild girls (this includes bathing, changing a million blowouts from Gabi, washing about 4 loads of laundry...thanks to Gabi, putting the girls to bed...please cooperate Olivia, and basically holding down the fort since K.C. had to go to Cali today..poor thing..he gets to be in 75 degree weather while I'm freezing!
5. I must watch my Biggest Loser Episode from last night...TIVO BABY!

1. I let the gas tank get to the BARE minimum...I gotta stop before it catches up to me!
2. Eating while watching TV...I eat so much more that way, but It just isn't the same without food...its like the show was disappointing:)
3. I watch Young & the Restless...yeah, its Tivoed at my house and K.C. is totally addicted too! We actually call and discuss it with my parents...they are the ones who got us hooked one year over Christmas.

If I were suddenly a billionaire...
I would definitely hook up all my family first and then start a foundation for abused children. That is defnitely an area I would want to commit time and money to.

1. I always take the stairs instead of the elevator...but, I am always racing up the stairs because I get freaked out someone is going to grab me...I've read too many forwards!
2. I have lists all over because that is how I remember everything!
3. I do things the same way all every time I do them...that is why Olivia has to have everything a certain way for going to bed, eating, etc. I have created it, so I can't complain!
4. One thing that drives me insane is when people smack their food or slurp their drinks...I honestly almost walk over and say something to them...This came from my Dad!
5. I am extremely afraid of heights!

Our sweet little Gabi is just trying to keep up with her Sister. The last few weeks, she just rolls across the whole room and back. She follows Olivia's every move and just laughs at everything she does. I better enjoy this while it lasts!

Sorry, my camera is broken and the video's won't post of her rolling, but I will keep trying and get some pics on soon!

So, Liv and I were painting our fingernails and toenails together the other day and Gabi kept losing her pacifier and whining. My fingernails were wet, so Olivia kept running over to put her pacifier in. After about the fourth time, Olivia gets up and says, "Gabi, I'm getting sick of that whining. No more, okay?"

I guess she knows why I say that to her now! I just wish it would cure her whining!

So, Olivia's latest thing is wanting to go to Chilis. Last Sunday we were in the car and she said, "Hey Mom, lets go to Chilis. They have chips and salsa and salad and chicken and drinks...I'm thirsty, You wanna go?" I said, "No, honey, not today." She tried to convince me..."Come on Mom, I told you, they have drinks and chips and salsa...its so good Mom, lets go!"

Do we have a sales person in the works?? I got it on video, but I can't get it to post! She is a crazy girl!
